Workshop Building of Sillamäe Vocational School Opened

On February 17th, 2011, was the grand opening of the workshop and practical training section of Sillamäe Vocational School (i.e. first construction phase of the reconstruction of the school complex) that was designed by Amhold. The gross area of the workshop building is 6624 sq.m and the area of the territory is 54,034 sq.m.

The opening was attended by the Minister of Education of the Republic of Estonia Tõnis Lukas, Lääne-Viru County Governor Einar Vallbaum, Sillamäe Mayor Ain Kiviorg, City Council Members and the Chairman of the School’s Administrative Council as well as teachers, students and builders. The School students demonstrated their professional and creative skills to all guests.

The workshops and practical training section of Sillamäe Vocational School includes training kitchens food technology labs with relevant ancillary premises, classrooms for metal processing, mechatronics, engineering disciplines, welding, warehouse technology with modern technological equipment and furnishings. The dorms, academic and main section of the School will be reconstructed within the next construction phases.

Amhold performed all engineering technical and environmental surveys, architectural design, interior design, landscaping, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, drainage, electrical engineering, greenery as well as traffic schemes and network design. Amhold provided consultancy and supervision services during the construction process.
