The Union of Estonian Architects has chosen 5 construction projects designed by Amhold Ltd that are among the 10 most important design and construction projects of the Republic of Estonia

The Union of Estonian Architects has chosen 5 construction projects designed by Amhold that are among the 10 most important design and construction projects of the Republic of Estonia in 2011 (see www.ehitaja.ee), which include:

- Restoration, renovation, preservation and partial reconstruction design of the academic building of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Tartu (Tartu, Jakobi St. 2, gross area 7525 sq.m, construction completion: 2009, architectural monument);

- Restoration, renovation, preservation and partial reconstruction design of the academic building of the Faculty of Social Science of University of Tartu (Tartu, Lossi St. 36, gross area 5470 sq.m, construction completion: 2009, architectural monument);

- Restoration, renovation, preservation and partial reconstruction design of the main building of Tallinn Konstantin Päts Open Air School (Tallinn, Vabaõhukooli rd. 7, plot area 5830 sq.m, construction completion: 2010, monument);

- Renovation design of existing the research and study laboratory and academic building as well as design of the extension of Virumaa College of University of Technology (Kohtla-Järve, Järveküla rd. 75, gross area of the buildings 16,314 sq.m, plot area 12,575 sq.m);

- Renovation design of the research and study laboratory and academic building as well as design of extensions of new laboratory and academic buildings of Estonian University of Life Sciences (Tartu, Kreutzwaldi 75, gross area of the buildings, 26,844 sq.m, the plot area 68 969 sq.m);

As the lead designer Amhold performed on these sites engineering technical and environmental surveys, architectural design (except Estonian University of Life Sciences), interior design (except Estonian University of Life Sciences), landscaping (except Estonian University of Life Sciences), structural engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, greenery, road structures and traffic schemes and network. Amhold will perform author’s supervision during the construction process.
