Design of Skänninge Sports Centre in Sweden Started

On December 17, 2012 Mjölby Municipality and Amhold signed contracts for the design of acoustics and fire safety engineering projects in the composition of the design work for the new sports centre in Skänninge

New Skänninge sports centre is going to be built near to the Trojenborg School. Mjölby city with its 12 000 inhabitants is famous in the international sports fields for its top-level horse-racing track and race track, which has also been a host to European Formula 2 championships.  Popular sports are also orientation, ice hockey and football. Therefore the new sports centre in Mjölby Municipality is a highly expected building. New building includes sports hall, lecture halls, gym, dressing rooms, office space, storage for sporting equipment, group training rooms and cafeteria. Building is designed as a low-energy building, which is energy-independent and uses building-integrated solar panels.

The Contracting Authority is Mjölby Municipality and the construction is scheduled to be started in autumn 2013.
