Start of Design of New Academic Building of Estonian Academy of Arts

Amhold and KUU OÜ entered into contract with State Real Estate Ltd on October 31, 2014 for the design of the new academic building (at Kotzebue 1/Põhja blvd 7, Tallinn) of Estonian Academy of Arts.

KUU architects (authors include: architects Joel Kopli, Koit Ojaliiv, Juhan Rohtla and Eik Hermann) was awarded with the first prize with their competition project “Linea” in the architectural conceptual design contest of the new academic building of Estonian Academy of Arts organized by State Real Estate Ltd. KUU OÜ chose Amhold as the cooperation partner and the head designer to perform the further design and prepare the construction project.

The architectural part of the building complex will be designed by KUU OÜ and the head designer and project manager is Amhold Ltd.

The net area of the new building complex is estimated 12,000m² and the construction project will be performed fully by Building Information Modeling (BIM).

The end date of the design is July 2015.
